Marble Chapel (Capilla de Mármol)

The Capilla de Mármol Nature Sanctuary is one of the most visited landmarks in the Aysén Region. This circuit of stunning marble rock formations with cavities, located both on islands and along the mainland, near the towns of Puerto Río Tranquilo and Puerto Eulogio Sánchez, attracts tourists from all over Chile and the world. These cavities are the result of the gradual dissolution of marble in the waters of Lake Chelenko over thousands of years.
