The Keys Pass (Paso Las Llaves)

The Keys Pass is a route that offers some of the most spectacular views of Lake General Carrera. The narrow CH-265 road connects the towns of Chile Chico, Fachinal, Mallín Grande, and Puerto Guadal, along a path where rockfalls are common.

These rocks formed underground approximately 9 million years ago, but the force of geological faults and the action of glaciers have exposed them at the surface.

We look forward to sharing more information about this geosite through the various community activities we will carry out as part of the Chelenko Geopark project.
